The next meeting of the Acocks Green Ward Committee will take place at 7pm this Wednesday, 9 March at Oaklands Primary School, Dolphin Lane.

There are two substantive items on the agenda:

1. Kerry Jukes from National Express will attend the meeting to discuss the ongoing problem with buses queuing down Summer Road (and at times in Shaftmoor Lane) to get into the Bus Garage in the evening.
2. Community Chest. With £100,000 now confirmed for the Community Chest for 2011/12, the Ward Advisory Board had made the following initial recommendations for funding:

• Mayfield Road Allotments £1,000
• Wards Mean Business £10,000
• John Gayle Football Project £9,995

Further projects will be discussed by the Ward Advisory Board in May for consideration by the Ward Committee at its meeting on 25 May.
