The next meeting of the Acocks Green Ward Committee takes place this Wednesday evening (7pm) at Acocks Green Baptist Church.

The main items on the agenda are a report back on the issue of stationary buses on Shaftmoor Lane, with Kerry Jukes from National Express, West Midlands attending and approval of the lastest round of proposals for spend of Community Chest made by the Ward Advisory Board. These are:

• £625 to Yardley’s Got Talent
• £1,650 for Acocks Green Dance Group (Sport4life)
• £2,000 for the Boxing Club (on Spring Road)
• £1,000 for Youth 4em
• £1,500 for the Friends Centre
• £3,500 for the Gospel Oak Community Centre
• £300 to cover the costs of the Westley Vale Millennium Green Insurance Policy
