This year’s Community Unity Party was a great success. Held as usual at Archbishop Ilsley School the party involved contributions from Acocks Green’s Muslim and Polish Communities as well as groups such as the 260th Scouts and the Autumn Leaves. As always traditional entertainment and food was provided by all groups and this year the Lord Mayor came and spent an hour with us. All in all a great event – many thanks to everyone involved in organising it.

Totally agree, wonderful event. A classic example of those who want to get things done rolling up their sleeves and just doing it. Special thanks to Rev Vicki who kept things together throughout the year and to Sue for her help dispite having three big events on the day !
For my part apologies to the man driving a black Jag who I kept waving to and urging to follow me. He only wanted to go shopping, but he drove in a minute before the Lord Mayor’s black Jag arrived !!!
