Thefts from Motor Cars

We are currently suffering from a major spate of thefts from motor cars across Acocks Green. Many offences look like thefts to order for spare parts. If you have any information which can help the police, please contact them: – the following message is from the Acocks Green Police Team and doesn’t include the two cars seriously damaged in Hazelwood Road this morning.

“There has been a number of Theft from Motor Vehicle Offences in the past ten days in the local area. Offences have ranged from number plates being taken, to items taken from vehicles and more recently a number of body parts being removed from unattended vehicles.

If you were in the area at the time of the below offences and noted anything please contact the police.

The Avenue, Acocks Green – between 10.00 A.M. on the 19th October 2020 and 07.00 A.M. on the 20th October 2020 – whole front of vehicle taken (bumper/headlights)

Hartfield Crescent, Acocks Green – between 6.55 P.M. and 7 P.M on the 19th October 2020 – ladders were taken from the roof of the vehicle.

Morrisons, Warwick Road, Acocks Green – between 2.30 and 3.36 on the 16th October 2020 – Catalytic Convertor removed from underneath vehicle.

Oakhurst Road, Acocks Green – between 7.30 P.M. on 15th October 2020 and 10.30 A.M. on the 16th October 2020 – number plates and vehicle grill taken

Mayfield Road, Acocks Green – between 04.50 A.M. and 05.20 A.M. on the 13th October 2020 – van broken into and tools were taken within.

Overton Road, Acocks green – between 12.00 A.M. and 06.30 A.M. on the 12th October 2020 – Bonnet, bumber, lights and engine parts taken from motor vehicle.

Haven Drive, Acocks Green – between 12.00 A.M. on the 10th October and 07.00 A.M. on the 11th October 2020 – Number plates taken from motor vehicle.”
