Liberal Democrat Councillor working for Acocks Green Learn more

Here is the result for Acocks Green Ward, in the recent Birmingham City Council elections:
This represents a majority of 628 and a swing from Labour to the Liberal Democrats of 7.3%, from the last Council elections in 2012. The turnout was up from 25% last time, to 30%.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me and helped me during the election. In particular, I would like to thank former Councillor Iain Bowen, who stepped down from the Council on Thursday and did a fantastic job representing Acocks Green for 8 years from 2006 to 2014. He also acted as my election agent and did a huge amount of work in the campaign.
I would also like to thank my opponents who fought a clean and fair campaign. There is a tradition of fighting hard but clean campaigns in Acocks Green. Long may it continue.
Above all, its a tremendous honour to be elected again, to serve the residents of Acocks Green ward on the City Council. I will do my best to work for our area and to represent everyone, across our diverse communities, in the Council House.
