A second cold weather payment has now been triggered, for eligible Birmingham residents. If you are eligible, you will receive a total of £50. Payments of £25 are made for each 7 day period when the average temperature is, or is forecast to be below freezing. The current cold spell has now hit the 2 week mark by this criteria. You can check your eligibility for the payments via this link to the GOV.UK website. Payments are made within 2 weeks of them being declared, so this second payment should be paid by Tuesday 5th February.
