An update on the upcoming temporary closure of Acocks Green Library, which is to allow repairs to be made to its roof.
The Library will now close on Saturday 23rd February, with the contractors starting on site on Monday 4th March.
During the closure, which is likely to be around 3-4 months, South Yardley Library will have extended opening hours, which will be:
9am to 7pm Monday and Thursday
9am to 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Councillor Iain Bowen’s Advice Bureau will remain in the Scout Hut on Spring Road (behind Scanlon’s) until the Library is reopened. It runs every Monday evening (except bank holidays) between 7pm and 8pm.

Hello Roger, not sure if I’ve already submitted this, thanks for info about the library, nice to hear something definite at last. So how will if effect the Neighbourhood Office?
Hi Ged, as far as I’m aware the Neighbourhood Office will close for the duration of the repairs and other offices will have to pick up the workload – but happy to stand corrected! Roger
