Second Cold Weather Payment Triggered for Birmingham

by rogerharmer on January 22, 2013

A second cold weather payment has now been triggered, for eligible Birmingham residents. If you are eligible, you will receive a total of £50. Payments of £25 are made for each 7 day period when the average temperature is, or is forecast to be below freezing. The current cold spell has now hit the 2 week mark by this criteria. You can check your eligibility for the payments via this link to the GOV.UK website. Payments are made within 2 weeks of them being declared, so this second payment should be paid by Tuesday 5th February.

If you have any queries about your cold weather payment you should contact your Pension Centre or Job Centre Plus, depending on which benefits you receive.
